Measure Diet Quality: Faster and Accurate

A digital food assessment is a diagnostic test that helps clinicians understand how a patient is eating and how to drive change. Using AI RxFood extracts nutrition and diet quality data to create detailed and customizable diet analyses for prevention and management of almost any chronic disease. We also built safety into our analysis. You can control what information your patients see to ensure it does not cause anxiety.

We measure a lot of things in medicine, so let’s start measuring dietary intake better too.

Carbohydrate (CHO) Counting for Diabetes

CHO counting is an important part of diabetes management. RxFood provides an evidence-based approach to teaching and re-enforcing CHO counting.

FAQs

Is it good for my patients?

Most, if not all, chronic disease guidelines recommend medical nutrition therapy for disease management and prevention. But we know this can be hard to deliver. RxFood helps you deliver evidence-based nutritional recommendations. In our clinical practice, patients really appreciate having the ability to learn how to modify their diet, plus we have the outcomes to prove it makes a difference.

Will it add to my workflow?

We know clinicians are busy, so we designed RxFood to be similar to ordering a diagnostic test or clinical consult. The few seconds it takes to get someone setup are more than made back by reducing the time it takes to take a dietary history. In fact, in our testing, clinicians could complete a more accurate history 3x faster using RxFood. By taking a data-driven approach, more efficient and effective care is possible that will save you time. Plus it supports virtual models of care.

Is it backed by science?

RxFood has, and continues, to be rigorously tested. The accuracy of the technology has been shown to be similar to research grade databases like ESHA. Clinically, after 3 months of use, children with type 1 diabetes managed in a quaternary diabetes center demonstrated improved ability to CHO count and lower A1c (0.8% improvement compared to the control group). Plus, CHO counting tests were done without using the app, signalling learnability. Our reports are based on the latest food guides and strong evidence-based recommendations. And we never stop studying and improving.
